The location of the hotel is excellent as it is basically by Rajpath and close to India Gate where one can begin his sightseeing trip. The breakfast package and the coffee shop have an excellent breakfast buffet consisting of South Indian delicacies like dosas as well as traditional fare like waffles and pancakes. There are a reasonable selection of fresh fruit and assorted pastries and service is pretty good although at other moments when youmeat in the coffee shop, the service is not as sharp.
Overall, wwould recommend this hotel to anyone staying in New Delhi because of its great location and service. The food in the restaurants is a bit pricey so it may be worthwhile to explore around as there are many good alternatives.
4. ITC Maurya
This is really nice, comfortable and luxurious hotel. On top of it the Indian style interior and staff dressed in traditional costumes really adds on the first positive impression. They greet you when you get in or out of the hotel with traditional Indian greeting “namaste” which I really liked very much.
The room are very comfortable and equipped. Good and comfortable mattresses and pillows enabled me to get good sleep for the next day. Wi-fi is available throughout hotel. The breakfast offer was themed with traditional Indian food but continental breakfast options as well with variety of fresh fruits.
The price is fine for such 5-star hotels and in comparison to the prices of the same level hotels in Europe, for example. All in all, the hotel has everything a picky guest might need but I simply did not feel the magic.
If you happen to be in Delhi, however, you should consider staying at this hotel.
5. The Oberoi
The Oberoi is situated centrally in New Delhi, in the middle of it’s own walled garden. The hotel offers all the luxury you expect from a luxury hotel, and the service level is impeccable – no matter when you arrive.

6. The Lodhi’s
The hotel is a wonderful high-end place to stay – it’s in an attractive modern style with very nice and very large rooms. Rooms are quiet, beds are comfy, shower has great pressure, morning light can be blocked out, there’s a, umm, small pool/very large tub outside the room on the balcony. Decorations are all very tasteful and elegant.
Vibrnt and graceful public spaces together with very large and comfortable rooms offer guests a peaceful respite from busy and gritty Delhi. The spa is lovely and with extensive fitness facilities and a beautiful pool, guests are able to unwind and relax. Our room, with plunge pool and balconies and a fantastic view of Humayun’s tomb, was quiet and well appointed. The concierge desk, lead by Rajiv, is exceptional and set us up with an excellent guide and driver as well as airport transfers and restaurant reservations. Service was attentive and very helpful with a real desire for guests to feel comfortable and happy. Restaurant and room service food was good and servers were more than willing to help choose just the right dish.

10. The Imperial
From the moment one arrives at the secluded front entrance of this grand old hotel there is a sense of timeless elegance. If first impressions count, these are the ones we got from The Imperial: the liveried doormen and security men under the portico stand elegantly with their curled moustaches and turbans, and are discreet in their various roles. The spotless marble-floored entrance hall has pretty and smiling sari-clad attendants, whose jobs are to stand there and warmly greet us. The stunning central hall with a reception and a concierge desk has an over-abundance of ready-to-help staff.
Rooms are large, delightfully retro, luminous and airy, and decorated with an Anglo-Indian feel – and it was impeccably clean and comfortable. The bar–oh the bar! Like something from a fifties film set. Just the tuxedos and the evening gowns were missing. The gin tonic and the Negroni were… perfect!
For meals at the hotel there is choice of several restaurants and bistros offering European and Indian cuisine. We particularly enjoyed breakfast in the outdoor part of the 1911 restaurant, under an elegant portico looking out to the gardens.
